Martin Luther, Martin Luther King Jr.
and the
Movement for Social Justice
Discover what Martin Luther and the Rev.Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, had in common theologically and how compatible the aims of the Civil Rights Movement are with Lutheran beliefs. Learn more about these two reformers’ ideas and convictions and discuss how they can impact the work of Metro Atlanta Lutheran churches today.
This course instructors will be Professor Mark Ellingsen of ITC, an expert on Luther and Dr. King, and Reverend Dr. Everett Flanigan, a pastor at Christ Our Hope Lutheran Church, Riverdale, and retired Administrative Dean, Lutheran Theological Center Atlanta.
Join with members of Christ Our Hope Riverdale, Lutheran Church of the Atonement, and Lutheran Church of the Redeemer and audit this 14-week course (no academic credit).
