“In January 1982, Redeemer was asked by St Luke Episcopal Church if we would serve as an overflow warming location for neighbors without shelter whom they welcomed into their church as a refuge from unseasonably cold temperatures. Redeemer responded by opening up Zittrouer Hall, and members began serving our guests pimento cheese sandwiches and coffee. After all, it’s rude not to offer one’s guests something to eat.

We are helping these hard-working families get the supplies they need for school and supporting their kids as they adjust to school in a new country and often a new language.
