The way we interpret the Bible is always shaped by both the culture of the original author as well as the culture of the reader him or herself. Over the last century we’ve recovered the voices of women, the poor, and other marginalized communities as we have read our Bible. One area that is growing in attention is the influence and presence of Africa on the Bible.
