Retreats
Redeemer members have the opportunity to participate in several retreats throughout the year. Retreats are also a terrific opportunity to invite your friends along to experience our community of faith for themselves. Some retreats take place at Lutheranch which is less than 90 minutes away from most of Metro Atlanta. Other common retreat locations all have been within a five-hour drive of the church.
A wonderful tradition with women from Redeemer and their friends gathering to socialize, study and worship together. Typically, the Women's Retreat is held at Lutheranch over a weekend in early October.
A time for Redeemer men and their friends to gather at Lutheranch and study, hike, sit around the fire and talk together. Each year a pastor leads the study and discussion. This is a weekend retreat in the spring, TBA.
A wonderful opportunity to take a day off work and take care of yourself. It happens on a Sunday evening – Monday at Lutheranch where you can take walks in the beautiful woods or sit by the lake, kayak or ride horses. The day is yours to spend as you please with meals and a morning and evening devotion provided. Date TBA
Family, faith, fellowship & fun are at the heart of a variety of family retreats that take place during the year. Some retreats involve camping out in God's creation while others are held at retreat centers like Lutheranch.
The Confirmation Retreat is held over a weekend for all students in the confirmation program. The retreat is led by the Senior Pastor, the Associate Pastor for Faith Formation, the Youth Director and our lay confirmation leaders. Most recently, this retreat was held at Lutheranch, about an hour away from Atlanta.
Throughout the year, the MS Youth Group and the HS Youth Group have separate events such as lock-ins, weekend trips away, and Synod youth conferences. For example, both MS and HS Youth are encouraged to participate in AFFIRM, a summer youth event of the Southeastern Synod.
